James has been invited to perform with the Little Orchestra Society in their upcoming "Music Takes Flight - Airborne Symphonies" program at Alice Tully Hall in New York on April 26th. Details

February 17th 2010

James is excitedly preparing for his departure next week to New Zealand. Over recent weeks he has been preparing the repertoire for a series of recitals there with pianist Jillian Zack, culminating in a performance at the New Zealand School of Music in Wellington on March 14th. January 18th 2010

James has been invited to take part in the Gerda Lissner Foundation Competition. The competition takes place in New York during the week of March 22nd and carries a prize pool of $150,000. See his calendar for further detail.

November 24th 2009

James has completed an intense period of work in the role of Marco Polo for Christopher Cerrone's new opera "Invisible Cities." The performance, part of the New Music New Haven concert series at Yale Universtiy, was a concert version of the first 5 scenes of the opera. James greatly enjoyed the opera and hopes that his involvement with this project will continue in the future.

November 11th 2009

Having returned to New York from a highly succesful run of the Magic Flute with Southern Opera, James is currently in the midst of the audition season. He is continuing his work with voice teacher Joan Patenaud-Yarnell. He was invited to perform the role of Marco Polo in a reading of Christopher Cerrone's opera "Invisible Cities". The first five scenes of this exciting piece will be performed at Yale University on November 18th.
